About Us!

Lincoln City, Oregon

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Oreona and I am the founder and administrator here at WhatAWanderousWorld. I like to say that, it makes me feel important. In reality I’m really just that girl in way over my head trying to figure everything out, achieve my travel dreams, help others achieve theirs as well, achieve financial freedom, break that pesky 9 to 5 routine, bring my family closer together, be the best mom that I can be, and not totally lose my mind in the process! I got this…

I started WhatAWanderousWorld as a means to document our travels and help others who may be trying to follow a similar path. WhatAWanderousWorld is all about achieving your dreams with what you have; here you will find travel tips, travel budget plans, parenting tips, camper renovation ideas, and just about everything else you can imagine that comes along with living on the road. If any of that interests you, then we will get along just fine!

WhatAWanderousWorld is designed to help travelers, experienced or newbie, along on their journey. It is my goal to give the most helpful, informative, and accurate information that I can possibly give, however I’m still learning everyday! If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! *This is meant to be a fun and positive environment so please keep your comments appropriate.*

WhatAWanderousWorld is not your typical travel blog, it’s more of a FAMILY travel blog. Emphasis on the family aspect. We want to help you and your family, whether you’re trying to build a life for your family on the road or staying and building your family right at home!

Speaking of family, that’s mine in the picture above! In the back is my fiance Nick and I, and in front are my three step kids Blake, Kendra, and Chayanne!

Nick was a whirlwind of a love that I was not expecting to come across any time soon. When I met Nick, I was never stationary for long; I would pack up my car and drive somewhere, ANYWHERE, every time I got the chance! When I met him, I had no choice but to fall in love with him and then when I met his kids, I was screwed! I am but putty in their hands and those kids have me absolutely wrapped around their little fingers. Once I moved in with Nick and became a full time mom, I kinda put my travel plans on hold and didn’t travel nearly as much. Staying home really started to eat at me and I was really feeling that itch to GO SOMEWHERE. It’s definitely true what they say about that travel bug, when it bites IT BITES HARD! Recently though Nick and I decided that it’s time to get back out on the road, only this time we’re taking three kids along with us…. (Dramatic pause…) Yeah. Crazy. I know! We decided to do this for a multitude of reasons but the main one is that we truly believe that this will be a great experience for our family!

We welcome you to follow along as we embark on our journey through the United States and beyond! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pintrest!

Lovingly yours,
Oreona and the rest of the rodeo!
